Beach Middle School volleyball teams 3-1 Wednesday

7 Blue
The 7th grade blue volleyball team got a big win Wednesday at home against Jackson winning the first set 25-15, losing the second set 16-25 and winning the third set 25-14.

Emily White led with 11 points served followed by Kylie Beckel 10, Alaina James and Elleri Maute each with 5, Izzy Hepburn 2 and Jazmine Ropp, Ellie Kuck, Claire Ashe, Camryn Rossi and Addi Kennedy each had 1.

The whole team combined great serving and passing plays with an excellent team effort.

7 Gold
The 7th grade gold volleyball team traveled to Dexter to battle the Dreadnaughts and came up short during the match.

Chelsea lost the first set 25-18 and the second set 25-11 before winning the third final set 26-24.

Maggie McKale and Annabelle Jaynes provided strong serving with multiple aces for each. Avery Lay, Lily Hansen, Madeline McKale, Shea Hephner, and Maggie McKale worked together to put together a couple of combinations of pass-set-hit. Zoe Zimmer served and scored a point for her team and Alex Richards and Amy Brant got their serves over the net as well.

8 Gold
The 8th grade gold volleyball team took home a victory from Dexter Wednesday night, 25-14, 8-25, 25-21.

In the first game, Sasha French led the team with 10 serves in a row (4 aces) followed by 4 from Jenna Ouellette.

The 2nd game had highlights again from Jenna and Rory Mickle had a set over a Dexter block while Allie Browning-Perry also hit a third hit passover for a point. The last game was a battle.

Highlights included strong serving from Allie Schumann and great saves from Grace Ratliff, Charlotte Diesing, Sasha and Jenna.

The team was excited to beat their rivals.

8 Blue
The 8th grade blue volleyball team won all three sets and the match Wednesday night, 25-12, 25-18, 25-20.

Caroline Knight, Shelby Wheeler, and Meghan Bareis were strong servers. Meghan Bareis also brought out her jump serve.

There was strong back row passing as well.
