Beach Middle School volleyball teams go 3-1 Monday night

8 Gold
The 8th grade gold volleyball tallied another season win against Lincoln Monday night, 25-18, 10-25, 25-18.

Strong serving by several players helped seal the match.

Jenna Ouellette led the night with 11 points, followed by Charlotte Diesing with 7, Tori Parisho with 6 and Grace Ratliff with 6.

Sasha French and Diesing were aggressive at the net and, several sets, tips and digs came from Ouellette, Ratliff, Rory Mickle, Libby Wacker and Katie Jedele.

The team is now 6-4 in the regular season with two matches remaining.

7 Gold
The 7th grade gold volleyball team won its home match v. Lincoln after finding a serving groove in the final set.

Chelsea won the first set 25-14 and Maggie McKale had 6 serves in a row and a couple of nice tips.

The Dawgs lost the second set 25-16.

The third set was won after 2 players provided the consistent serving that was needed with team support – Avery Lay provided the startup to the set with 7 points in a row and Madeline McKale finished with 10 serves in a row.

Paiton Doyle, Madeline McKale, and Annabelle Jaynes had a nice pass-set-hit combo.

8 Gold
The 8th grade blue volleyball team traveled to Pinckney and brought home the win 25-23, 15-25, 25-19.

In the first match of game, Chelsea was down 2-13 but fought their way back to win 25-23.

Strong servers for the night were Addie McCarthy, Arianne Hunter, Gabriella Basar and Meghan Bareis.

Strong kills at the net were made by Kate Krugh, Sophie Stone, Maya Valik and Cecilia Henriksen. There was strong setting from Caroline Knight and Elsa Baize. In addition, there was strong back row defense and passing from Shelby Wheeler, Tabitha Alery and Beckah Henning.

7 Blue
The 7th grade blue volleyball team lost at Pinckney Monday night.

The team won the first set 25-13, lost the 2nd set 11-25 and then lost the 3rd set 14-25.

Kylie Beckel led with 8 serve points, followed by Emily White with 5, Jazmin Ropp 3, and Alaina James and Ellie Kuck each with one.
