The Beach Middle School boys’ cross country team finished 5th out 8 teams (14 points away from 3rd place) at a meet Wednesday.
Josh Kowalski led the boys’ team finishing seventh with Foster Thorburn and Connor Gilbreath close behind him.
The girls’ team finished 2nd out of 8 teams. For the girls’ team Caroline Hirth ran in front for the team with a third place finish followed closely by Sydnee Liedel and Allison Hughes.
In addition, many athletes ran great times for this two-mile race. Notable performances were turned out by Austin Lyles, Bennett Proegler and Matt Rosolowski, who all earned season best times running minutes faster than their previous race times.
For the ladies, Natalie Gofton, Natalie Schneider and Olivia Maldonado all turned out season best times and showed some serious fight at the finish line.
