On Saturday, Sept. 17, Beach Middle School Cross Country boy’s and girl’s teams competed at the 53rd New Boston Huron Invitational at Willow Metropark.
Twelve out of 17 runners set personal records (PRs) on a hot afternoon.
Wyeth Angus (7th place) and Owen Thorburn (18th place) earned medals and led the boy’s varsity team to a 2nd place finish among 19 teams. The girl’s team was led by Danny Hephner who placed 41st out of 176.
The middle school X-C team is back in action Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Manly Bennett Park near Pinckney for SEC Jamboree #1.
