The Chelsea Beach Middle School cross country teams ran against the Dexter Mill Creek Middle School on Monday, Oct. 12 at Hudson-Mills Metropark.
Although both teams lost, but there were a number of individual highlights. The boy’s team score was 43-19, while the girl’s lost 40-19. (Note: in cross country, the lowest score wins.)
For the boy’s team, Linus Helzerman led the team with a time of 13:03.1 (a new personal record).
Alex Martin (13:46) and Alex Coy (16:16.7) each had PRs as well.
For the girl’s team, Christina Roberts placed second overall at the meet with a time of 13:49.3 (a new personal record).
Two of the biggest time improvements at the meet were Hayley Hopkins who PRed by 31 seconds and Mireille Hunter who dropped 27 seconds from her best time.
Trista Schreiber, Lissa Krueger, and Kassidy Grossman each PRed by one to seven seconds.
