Chelsea Community Hospital is committed to delivering patient-centered care by embracing patients and families as partners and members of our health care team.

“We welcome and value the input and participation of former patients and their family members as we continuously improve the care we provide,” according to a press release.

As such, CCH has created a variety of volunteer advisory roles, and we invite former patients, their family members, and community members to offer input and advice on various aspects of the patient experience.

Your participation will help the hospital improve patient care policies, processes, communication materials, the physical environment, improvement activities, and safety efforts.

And, this will have a direct impact on our patients’ and families’ experiences while receiving care in the hospital or at any of our other health care facilities.

Here are the volunteer opportunities:
•    Committee Team Member
•    Focus Group Participant
•    Communication Reviewer
•    Experience Sharing

To kick off this new program, the hospital is holding a focus group on Tuesday, May 28, to explain the program, obtain feedback from participants, and recruit the first set of experience advisors.

If you are interested in attending the May 28 focus group, or would like more information, please call Jim Barb, vice president, quality & patient safety, at 734-593-5381 or email him at [email protected].
