Morel mushroom season is just around the corner, and diehard aficionados Bill and Marsi Darwin are always ready for the hunt.
In fact, they were featured in an article on spring edibles by Chelsea author Sharon Kegerreis in this month’s Michigan Home & Lifestyle magazine. Kegerreis co-authored two books on Michigan wineries, “From the Vine: Exploring Michigan’s Wineries” and “The History of Michigan Wines.”
Her article in the March issue of Michigan Home, entitled “Delicious Michigan” talks about morels, fiddlehead ferns, wild leeks, rhubarb, asparagus, strawberries and more.
The Darwins share a love of being outdoors, and morel stalking in particular.
