Boy Scout Troop 476 will hold an open house on Monday, Dec. 3 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Chelsea Community Fairgrounds Service Center.
The open house is for first and second year Webelos or boys from 11-17 years who are interested in joining Boy Scouts.
The troops activities include backpacking, cycling, snowboarding, sailing, motorboating, archery, orienteering, cooking, community service, emergency preparedness, camping, swimming, first aid, canoeing, skiing, fishing, rock climbing, lifesaving and rafting.
There will be displays of the fun things the troop does, information about how a Boy Scout youth-led troop runs, participate in a Boy Scout general meeting and eat. Refreshments will be served.
Adults can meet with troop leaders for a Q and A session, learn about Troop funding, structure, management, expectations, advancement, events/trips.
