Last Friday’s “Bulldog Jog” at North Creek and South Meadows elementary schools was a fun time for elementary school students.

The “Bulldog Jog” is a walk-a-thon/run-a-thon kid-style, which raises funds for school activities throughout the year.

Each class had a designated time slot and each student received a “race bib,” a certificate of completion, an achievement medal, and a popsicle.

Plus, each class had its picture taken with the Bulldog mascot.

The money is used by the PTO to fund a sock hop, staff grants, playground/fitness equipment, Science Night and Geography Night, staff appreciation efforts, Pastries for Parents, the Ice Cream Social, books for each building’s book rooms, and more.

The event took place Friday, Oct. 18.

The PTO’s goal was to raise $16,000 for these activities during this major fundraiser of the year, and there is a Website where anyone can go to donate (https://www.totalgatesolutions.com/CatalogView.aspx?schoolId=1417)

Last year, about $18,000 was raised.
