Chelsea Area Fire Authority employees, board members and some residents recently participated in a “Cultural Awareness / Implicit Bias” training seminar.

The training was taught by Jerry M. Nehr Jr. of Creative Discoveries Training.

Fire Chief Rob Arbini organized the presentations to help both CAFA firefighters and employees recognize the cultural differences in the community. The class focused on the sometimes unknown biases humans have and how to manage them.

There were different work groups and interactions from all attendees with very positive results and input.
