Biggby Coffee has gained quite a loyal following since it opened its doors in Chelsea about three years ago.
Owner Chris Kosmet says the official anniversary is Nov. 16, but the store will celebrate on Thursday, Nov. 14 with hot or iced tall drinks for 99 cents each.
The special will begin at 5:30 a.m. and end at 9 p.m. and no coupon is needed.
“Chelsea has been extremely good for us,” Kosmet says, adding, “We have a wide base of customers who have been very loyal.”
The Chelsea Biggby Store, known as No. 291, is located at 1171 S. Main St. Suite #1.
Every drink can be ordered hot, iced or frozen and each is individually pulled. The store also offers a number of gift items, gift certificates in any denomination and the house blend will soon be available in pods for use in Keurig machines.
“In October, we had double-digit growth,” he says.
Perhaps it’s because they served really good coffee in a variety of flavors – in fact, there are a couple hundred flavors available, although they all aren’t up on the wall menu as customers walk into the cozy coffee shop.
So if you’re undecided about what new flavor to try, Kosmet suggests you ask the person taking your order.

“It seems like a blink of an eye since the store opened,” Kosmet says, explaining that Biggby opened in late 2010 and last year sales steadily improved.
“We’ve grown every month,” he says, “Last month, we had 30-percent growth.”
Calling Chelsea “a great community to be in,” he hopes to find the same hospitality with the opening of his second Biggby Store at 44601 Five Mile Road in Plymouth.
Biggby also gives back to the community with fundraisers for Chelsea Rec, the swim team, scouts and has been a participant in St. Louis Center’s “Taste of Chelsea.”
