Chelsea Board of Education meets Monday night

The night before a crucial millage renewal election on Tuesday, May 7, the Chelsea Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the board room of the Washington Street Education Center.

Among the items on the agenda are a presentation from Beth Morris and Pam Voss-Page about “Students Leading Students,” and discussions about an agreement for students to attend the Virtual Learning Academy and wireless upgrades for the high school, South Meadows, the Washington Street Education Center and the Operations department.

The board is also expected to vote on leaves of absence for next year for five teachers.

There are also five items on the consent agenda including two donations in excess of $1,000 — one for Special Olympics,  and a boy’s soccer team field trip request.
