Chelsea Boys Track and Field Runner-Up in Mason Invite

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Eric Swager for the information in this story.)

Chelsea boys track and field went to the Mason Invitational Friday trying to hone in a few key events.

“We didn’t max out any of our runners, so to take a runner up trophy is pretty solid,” said coach Eric Swager. “We continue to maintain a great attitude, which makes this team fun to coach.”

The lone Bulldog first place medal was earned by Will Barhite in the 300 hurdles. He also earned medals in the 110 Hurdles and the 200 dash.

Brandon Snyder took a runner up medal in the long jump, as did distance runners Jimmy Alford, Connell Alford, and Owen Smith.

Other medal winners were Dominic Guthre, Ryan Scott, Jackie Dell, Zebedee Swager, and both the 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams.

The Bulldogs take on rival Dexter Tuesday at the final dual meet of the season.
