(Publisher’s note: This is the second story from the Chelsea City Council meeting that took place on Jan. 4. The first one can be found here.)

Following a public hearing, the Chelsea City Council unanimously approved a planned unit development request renewal for a parcel of property within the Heritage Pointe subdivision.

The history of this request and a map of the property, which is located on the north side of Dexter-Chelsea Road between North Freer Road and Savannah Lane can be found at the end of this story.

Daniel Johnson, who was representing the property owners, said there was an agreement with Allen Edwin Homes to begin construction on this phase of the subdivision in March or April. There are about 40 lots in this area.
