Chelsea City Council plans budget work session followed by its regular meeting tonight

Residents who would like to hear about the city’s 13-14 proposed budget can do so during a work session of the Chelsea City Council on Tuesday, April 23, at 6 p.m. in the council meeting room inside the new Chelsea Police Station.

The council is expected to get an overview and ask questions about the city’s proposed $3.866 million operating budget during the annual budget work session.

Following the budget session, the City Council will hold a regular meeting and is expected to hear presentations from representatives of the Heart and Sole race that will take place on May 4, as well as an update on the city-wide assessing project.

In action items, the council is expected to vote on the second and third phases of a city-wide property assessment.
