Requests for service can still be made via phone or email. Garbage bags can be purchased at Ace Hardware, Chelsea Farmers Supply, Vogels Party Store and Chelsea Pharmacy.
The Transfer Station is closed to the public indefinitely.
Residential curbside refuse and commercial collection will continue.
What are people to do with garbage? There is minimal contact with workers at the transfer site. This appears to be over reaction.
My exact thought. The only purpose this will serve is to increase illegal dumping in surrounding rural areas. Please stay out of mine.
The ‘Social distance’ exceeds minimal standards @ all times! This decision needs further explanation by the City of Chelsea.
