Chelsea Community Fair: antique tractor pull, ribbon cutting, arrival of livestock

File photo. The arrival of the steer.

The Chelsea Community Fairgrounds come alive tonight with the sounds of crowing, mooing, and squealing with the arrival of the steer, feeder calves, swine, rabbit and poultry.

But before that happens, everyone is invited to watch the antique tractor pull in the Main Arena that begins at 9 a.m. and continues throughout the day.

Also taking place but not open to the public is a majority of the green barn judging.

At 5 p.m., this year’s fair queen candidates gather with fair board members and the mayor to officially open the 82nd edition of the Chelsea Community Fair with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
