If you’re faced with the daily chore of cooking for yourself, here’s a great chance to learn ways to liven up the meals you make.

Chelsea Communty Kitchen, as part of the Chelsea Community Read program, will host an inspiring demonstration called “Cooking for One: Fresh from the Garden” on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from noon-1 p.m. at the Washington Street Education Center cafeteria.

Not only will participants learn how to make tasty new meals, but also they’ll get a view of the Intergenerational Garden just outside the window of the cafeteria.

This program is supported by a grant from the Chelsea Area Garden Club and will be led by instructor and CCK board member, Peter di Lorenzi.

According to information about the event, he will conduct a demonstration and tasting featuring produce from the garden with a hearty helping of ideas and tips for making low-effort, inexpensive, healthy, and very flavorful meals for one or more persons.

You can register by calling the Chelsea District Library at 734-475-8732, ext. 219 or through the library’s events calendar page.

Who says it’s too much effort to cook fresh, healthy meals for just one person?
