Chelsea Community Kitchen to host ‘Call for Volunteers’ gathering

Here’s an event you can add to your new 2013 calendar.

Chelsea Community Kitchen will host a “Call for Volunteers” gathering on Jan. 15 to highlight the group’s proposed plans for 2013, and more importantly, explain how you can get involved with this really cool effort.

Everyone interested is invited to attend the gathering on Jan. 15 from 7-8:30 p.m., at the home of Board Member Kathy Carter, 402 S. Main St.

Refreshments will feature a variety of goodies and some award-winning Michigan wines.

According to the group’s information, many people have participated in cooking classes, farm tours, technique demonstrations, or other activities that CCK has sponsored.

Some people have used the CCK kitchen rental services or received information about starting or expanding your business.

Other people have purchased the products of a business that has benefited from the group’s services.

And, it’s volunteers who make all these things happen — so please consider lending a hand in 2013 to keep this worthwhile organization viable.

CCK has all sorts of opportunities for you to get involved. Program, communication, and development committees are just some of the places where you can fit in. Please get involved in 2013.

Carter’s home is at the southwest corner of South Main and West Summit and there’s parking in the Palmer Auto lot that’s one house away. There is also street parking on the north side of Summit Street only.
