Chelsea Cub Scout Pack 435 visits the new Chelsea Police Station

Members Cub Scout Pack 435 visit the council chambers in the new police station.

Eleven members of Chelsea Cub Scout Pack 435‘s ‘Tiger Den’ and three big brothers who are “Bears” and “Webelos,” visited the new Chelsea Police Station Tuesday night.

The scouts were at the police station to learn more about their city to complete one of their five achievements, which will make them full-fledged Tigers, said Terri Donajkowski, treasurer for the pack.

The first-graders were invited into the City Council chambers, which is part of the new police station, by Mayor Jason Lindauer and introduced to the City Council, which was holding a special interview session for candidates interested in filling a vacancy.

“It’s important for them to more about the community,” Donajkowski said.

The badge requirements state the cub scouts should go see either a police or a fire station and learn how these responders help during an emergency.

She said they picked the police station because it was new.
