Chelsea Figure Skating Club shines at Showcase National Championships

The Chelsea Figure Skating Club had another successful showing at the 2019 US Showcase National Championships.

In the preliminary duet division, Maggie Baldwin and Josie Jackson earned the pewter medal for their Laverne and Shirley routine.

In the Pre-Juvenile division, Alex Davis placed third in her initial round which qualified her to compete in the Light Entertainment division final round, where she placed second overall with her Austin Powers routine.

Also in the Pre-Juvenile division, Sydney Brandt won her initial round and qualified for the Dramatic final round where she ended up with the Bronze Medal for her performance as Mulan.

At the Intermediate level, Phoebe Ledbetter and Eliot Ziolek came away with the pewter medal for their duet, “Agony.”

Then in the Intermediate Light Entertainment division initial round, Madison Majeske earned the bronze medal for her lunch lady routine and Zoe Beekman earned the pewter for her skate as the Spanish Rose. Majeske’s top 3 finish qualified her for the Intermediate Light Entertainment final round, where she earned the pewter medal overall.

The Chelsea Figure Skating Club looks forward to attending the 2020 Showcase Nationals in Fort Collins, Colorado next year.
