Chelsea freshman football remains undefeated with shutout win

The Chelsea freshman football team traveled to Linden and won 47-0 Thursday night.

Lucas Dunn threw touchdown passes to Connor Donajkowski, Ben Strzyzewski, and Nick Fisk.

Cole Munson went over 100 yards rushing and had a rushing touchdown. Trevor Vosters and Strzyzewski also had touchdown runs in the game.

The offensive line of Finn Clacher, Devin Keeler, John Piatt, Colin Ledbetter, Ian Carter, and Andrew Hilbert consistently opened up running lanes and protected the quarterback the entire game.

“My favorite players are always the offensive linemen.  They never get the credit they deserve, but this group has been awesome to coach,” said Coach Dennis Strzyzewski.

“They love playing together, and they take pride in what they do,” he said.

Defensively, Trevor Vosters, Ethan Lyles, Diego Medal, Logan Kilgore, and Colton Sutch were all making plays to preserve the shutout for Chelsea.

“Our kids have learned how great it is to be a part of something bigger than themselves,” the coach said. “I think we are finally at a place where the kids are not worried about who gets the credit. They just care about the team. That is a special thing.”

Chelsea next plays at Ann Arbor Pioneer.
