The Chelsea freshman football team hosted Jackson Parma Western on Thursday and came away with a 41-21 win, moving Chelsea to 6-0 on the season.

Chelsea led 27-7 at the half then traded touchdowns in each of the final two quarters.

Joe Taylor and Tyler Valik both had over 120 yards from scrimmage, and they each caught a long TD pass from quarterback, Chase Kemp.  AJ Tokarski had three TD runs on the day.  Chase Kemp also scored on a1-yard sneak.

The offensive line, especially Dillon Hutchison and Brian Morgans played really well throughout the game against an aggressive Parma defense.

Defensively, Corbin Steele again led the Bulldogs in tackles. Mitchell Sumner, Brendan Westcott, and Tyler Wallgren also tallied numerous stops for the Dogs.

“The kids came out and played well for the most part,” said coach Dennis Strzyzewski. “I thought the focus in practice was better this week, and it showed in their performance. Parma is pretty physical, and they have a good quarterback.  Our kids showed up ready to compete.”

“This week we will hit the fundamentals hard as we get ready to go to Tecumseh,” the coach said.
