Huge congratulations go out to the Chelsea High School girls golf team that on Oct. 11 won the High School Girls Golf Division 3 Regional tournament.

The golfers played in Fenton and there are 13 teams in their region and five regions in the state.

They move on to play in the state tournament on Oct. 19-20 at Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battlecreek at 10 a.m.

Chelsea shot a 373 to win by one stroke over state-ranked Jackson Northwest.

Triveline finished with the third lowest score of the tournament shooting an 86 for a fifth-place finish, as there was a tie.

Chelsea’s division is the toughest regional in the state for Division 3 schools. Last year, the three teams that made it out of the regional tournament placed in the Top 5 in the state tournament.
