The Chelsea High School Boy’s Track and Field Team recorded a dominant performance on Tuesday, April 9, taking home a 111-23 victory against Ypsilanti High School.

Chelsea High School Boy’s Track and Field Head Coach Eric Swager called it “A very nice start to the season.”

In fact, the 111-23 score might be the largest margin of victory in CHS history, he said.

The team “dominated the meet, primarily because of our depth, scoring in every event, winning all but two, and sweeping nine events.

Shane McGrath won two events, and was on two winning relays.

Also recording individual and relay wins were Zach Rabbitt, James Biller, and Kenny McDowell.

“A host of others ran exceptionally well, recording huge lifetime bests and competing hard,” he said.

Swager said, “I would like to thank the athletes for their positive attitudes and efforts, and especially thank the parents for helping to make this a great start to 2013.”
