The Chelsea Varsity Hockey Team was chosen to participate in the pre- and post-game presentations at the 2014 NHL Winter Classic on Jan. 1 held at Michigan Stadium.

Some of the players held team shields for both the Red Wings and the Maple Leafs as the players entered during the opening ceremonies.

Other team members helped roll out the large American and Canadian flags during the National Anthems.

After the game, USA Hockey named their 2014 USA Men’s Olympic Team in a ceremony where the entire Varsity Team held USA Olympic and American flags as the team was announced.

Both ceremonies were covered by NBC national coverage.

The team enjoyed the experience and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of a record setting event.
