The Chelsea JV football team defeated Lansing Waverly by a score of 42-12.
Jon Shemwell had a dominating defensive performance as he was in on 20+ tackles. Drew Weinberg had an interception for a touchdown and Calvin Decker had two interceptions.
Carter Nicholson also created a turnover with a strip sack.
Nate Christian threw three touchdowns to Jimmy Sciackatano, Drew Weinberg had a touchdown run for 25 yards and Ethan Collins had an 80-yard kick return for a touchdown.
“We have talked a lot about getting off to better starts, and the kids did that today,” said coach Dennis Strzyzewski. “We were able to get a nice lead and just kind of grind out the clock. I really like the energy the kids brought today.”
