Chelsea Kiwanis Club invites everyone to check out the club’s Facebook page

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

The Chelsea Kiwanis Club would like to invite everyone to visit the club’s Facebook page.

It is a work in progress and has copies of our weekly newsletters with information about our speakers, projects, and other news.

The page has lots of photos of our service projects, (most recently, Bring Up Grades and Ice Cream Social celebrations at South Meadows Elementary and the Easter Egg Hunt at Chelsea Retirement Community).

The page has photos of groups we honor and support, (most recently, First Responders, area farmers, and Boy Scouts).

The Facebook page has photos of speakers that have conducted a program for our club, (most recently, Chelsea District Library, Western Washtenaw Area Value Express,  SRSLY, and Ballet Chelsea).

The page can be viewed by going to our website, www.kiwanisclubofchelsea.org or directly at www.facebook.com/kiwanisclubofchelsea.

Just typing in “Chelsea Kiwanis on Facebook works too, but you may also get Kiwanis clubs in Alabama or Massachusetts, as they have clubs in their own Chelseas.

The club has an open meeting this Monday. We will be considering candidates for international offices in Kiwanis and proposed amendments to the governing documents of Kiwanis International.  We may offer direction to our club’s delegates attending the annual Kiwanis International Convention, this year being held at Walt Disney World Resort at the end of June.

Chelsea Kiwanis meets each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to enjoy our speakers and learn about Kiwanis.

Go to www.kiwanisclubofchelsea.org for more information.
