(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)
Last Monday, Chelsea Kiwanis heard from Chelsea Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) President Cheri Szcodronski and her son Logan. The PTO has 9 members, (hopefully soon to be 10) serving on their board of directors, and have up to 150 parents who actively participate during the year.
The PTO is gearing up for their biggest fundraiser – Bulldog Jog on Oct. 11. Having one large fundraiser limits many repeated requests during the school year. Pledges are accepted for students to get some great exercise as they complete several laps on a course at their school.
Students at North Creek Elementary will begin their Jog at 8:30 a.m., and students at South Meadows Elementary will begin their Jog at 12:35.
Kiwanis will reward joggers with a treat after completing their Bulldog Jog.
The PTO aims to raise $25,000 to support the activities they sponsor throughout the school year.
The club was pleased to present Cheri with proceeds from our food concession trailer at the Ice Cream Social.
