Chelsea Kiwanis Club plans April 20 Easter Egg Hunt

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

Chelsea Kiwanis Club members will be participating in several upcoming events.

They encourage everyone to visit the Chelsea Expo on Saturday, April 13, from 10 to 3 p.m.

If you stop by the Kiwanis table, you can spin the wheel containing the community groups we support. If it lands on your favorite group, you’ll win a meal at our Kiwanis food concession trailer.

Each spin is a dollar, which goes to the group of your choice. Even if you don’t land on your group, you get a coupon for a $1 bag of popcorn from the club’s trailer.

On Saturday, April 20, everyone is invited to bring their children, grandchildren or even great grandchildren to Chelsea Retirement Community on West Middle Street for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will be there beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Starting at 10 a.m., the bunny will signal the start of the Easter Egg Hunt. There are three separate areas for age groups. And, the Bunny will begin with the youngest group. Every egg is filled with a treat, and some have a slip of paper worth a nice prize from the Bunny.

Chelsea club members will be there to assist the Chelsea High School Key Club in this fun annual event.

On Monday, the club has invited members of Chelsea’s Police and Fire Departments and Huron Valley Ambulance to visit the club meeting. Each year, members use the evening to recognize the work these folks do for our community. It’s also a good opportunity to hear about the latest news from each organization.

Chelsea Kiwanis meets each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to enjoy our speakers and learn about Kiwanis.
