Chelsea Kiwanis Club Thanks Community For Another Successful Fair Week

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

Members of the Kiwanis Club of Chelsea would like to thank everyone in the community that stopped by our food concession trailer at last week’s Chelsea Community Fair.

Purchases at the trailer comprise our largest fundraiser, enabling our club to support many groups in the community, especially those that benefit children. Some of the support goes to scholarships at Chelsea School District’s preschool, as well as to SRSLY, for youth drug abuse prevention and mental health.

The club sponsors the Community Easter Egg Hunt, the Kids Fair Parade, and the Community Halloween Party, all in partnership with Chelsea High School’s Key Club, a part of the Kiwanis family of clubs.

Thanks go to both Boy Scout Troops 425 and 476 for their help selling popcorn, chips, and drinks in the stands. We support both troops as their chartering organization.

Our club thanks the many community members who volunteer to work inside the trailer, in what always turns out to be a frenzy of activity serving our menu to patrons.

We will not meet on Labor Day, but on the following Monday we are looking forward to hearing from Lisa Allmendinger, publisher of Chelsea Update.
