(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

Chelsea Kiwanis enjoyed another successful Kiddie Parade on Tuesday, Aug. 20 to open the Chelsea Community Fair.

Thanks go to the many folks who made it a fun event for the children.

Thanks to Chelsea city workers who blocked off streets along the parade route, and to the Chelsea police for keeping everyone safe.

Thanks to the city for the use of the parking lot.

Thanks to the Beach Middle School band for their rousing, marching performance. Thanks to Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Mercedes-Benz of Ann Arbor for lending cars for the Fair Queen and Queen candidates to ride.

Thanks to the fair board for the ride tickets and prize money.

Thanks to the judges for their efforts in selecting the winning costumes.

We especially would like to thank the children and their families for participating.

Chelsea Kiwanis meets each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to enjoy our speakers and learn about Kiwanis.
