Chelsea Kiwanis to discuss the club budget, looking for input

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

At last week’s Chelsea Kiwanis Club meeting, the club recapped the fair week performance of the Kiwanis food concession trailer.

The club grossed over $32,000, and can fund all of our budgeted expenditures.  Many thanks to the volunteers who staffed the trailer during the seven 14-15 hour days we were open.

This month, club members will be working on the club budget for the October 2019 through September 2020 fiscal year. We would like to hear from Chelsea Update readers with regard to our funding choices for the year.

Please let us know where funds should be spent by our club in the community. Your ideas can be sent to our Facebook page or our website.

Chelsea Kiwanis meets each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to enjoy our speakers and learn about Kiwanis.
