Chelsea Lanes hosting free ‘Firefighters Bowling Bash’ on Nov. 3

Free one-of-a-kind CAFA bears will be given to the first 30 kids who register.

Chelsea Lanes and the Chelsea Area Fire Authority are teaming up for the “Firefighters Bowling Bash,” a free two hours of bowling for kids on Nov. 3 from 2-4 p.m.

The first 30 kids to sign up will receive a collectible red, white or blue teddy bear designed by the Chelsea Teddy Bear Factory.

During the event, up to 100 kids, 12 years and younger, will have the opportunity to bowl with Chelsea firefighters from the Chelsea Area Fire Authority, said Ed Greenleaf, Jr., owner of Chelsea Lanes.

“I know how important it is to give recognition to the firefighters, especially in light of their efforts for Paint Chelsea Pink,” he said, “Plus, it’s important for kids to know who real heroes are in life.”

Greenleaf said, “The fire department does a lot for the community that people don’t see.”

So, in addition to bowling, the firefighters will give a talk about fire prevention and answer any questions people might have, he said.

“The bears are one-of-a-kind CAFA bowling event bears, specially designed by the Teddy Bear Factory,” Greenleaf said.

Call today to reserve a spot at 475-8141.
