Chelsea Police chief reminds residents to obey traffic laws, slow down

With the weather improving and more children out playing in residential areas, Chelsea Police Chief Ed Toth reminded residents to pay attention to crossing guards and to slow down — especially near schools and in residential areas.

Keep a watchful eye for youth bike riders, walkers and stray balls that might land in the streets with them chasing close behind.

In addition, Toth gave his monthly report to the Chelsea City Council on Monday, April 15. Officers responded to 376 calls for service, investigated 11 traffic crashes, made 89 traffic stops, wrote 27 citations and have 17 open cases.
