Chelsea Police Department report for July

The Chelsea Police Department responded to 251 calls for service in July.

In addition, there were eight traffic crashes, 22 traffic stops and one citation was issued.

The department has 40 cases under investigation.

Police Chief Ed Toth told the Chelsea City Council Monday night that the department had completed the report from the June incident at Pierce Park and it was submitted to the prosecutor’s office. He said the report is 148 pages and the prosecutor’s office can do one of three things: authorize it, deny it or send it back for more information.

He said that the prosecutor’s office is currently backlogged as the department just heard about a case submitted in March.

Below is the department’s monthly report.
