The Chelsea River Gallery will host a preview screening of the feature-length, supernatural thriller Christian Rhone from independent filmmaker Sharad Patel on Nov. 3 from 6-8 p.m.

The event will include a question and answer session with Patel, the 2012 Chelsea Artist-in-Residence with the Chelsea District Library. The special preview is planned “to create and encourage conversation between himself and the audience in order to shape the final aspects of the film before it is submitted to major film festivals around the world,” according to the press release.

“Using every independent guerilla production technique in the book and inventing a few along the way he presents an elegant, classically structured movie with a polished organic aesthetic,” according to the information.

The film is a supernatural thriller set on a college campus that begins with an encounter between a young coed who wanders into a party at an elite fraternity and meets it’s mysterious, brooding president, Christian Rhone.

The event is free and suitable for people 14 years and older.

This program is supported in part by an award from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
