The Chelsea Rod and Gun Club is planning three CPL/CCW classes beginning in April.
“First Steps” teaches different types of firearms and how they function and the different ammunition available and takes place on Friday evenings from 5-8 p.m.
“Safety in the Home” teaches about being safe in the home as well as information needed to carry a concealed weapon. This class takes place on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch and drinks will be supplied.
Classes are planned for April 19-20, June 14-15 and Sept.6-7.
Club members are also asking for help on the range to have a one-on-one ratio of students to instructors. Help is always needed to hang new targets.
The April class is quickly filling and the cost is $125.
