Chelsea Softball Record Stands at 24-2

On Monday, May 16, the Chelsea Softball team traveled to Tecumseh for a SEC White Division doubleheader.

In game 1, the two teams battled through the first 4 innings to a 2-2 tie.  In the 5th inning the Bulldogs broke it open scoring 5, going on to beat Tecumseh 11-4.

Offensively, the Bulldogs were led by Jenna Ouellette and Maggie Olaveson who were 4 for 5 and 3 for 4, respectively. Mya Purdy, Amelia Robinson, Megan McCalla and Emilee Underwood had multiple hits in the game.

Emilee Underwood earned her 13th win of the season surrendering 6 hits, 2 earned runs while striking out 12.

In Game 2, the Bulldogs jumped out to an early 6-run lead and cruised to victory defeating Tecumseh, 11-4. Megan McCalla posted her 8th win of the season, while offensively, the Bulldogs were led by Bekah Zachrich, who was 3 for 3 and hit her 5th home run of the season.

Kaylee Partyka (2 for 2), Emilee Underwood (3 for 4) and Andi Evers (2 for 4) all had multiple hits in the contest.

The wins at Tecumseh run the Bulldogs record to 24-2 on the season.
