Chelsea softball team swept Pinckney in a SEC white division doubleheader, 10-2 and 18-1.
In game 1, Mya Purdy went 3 for 4 at the plate and hit her third home run of the season, while Jenna Ouellette went 3 for 5 with 4 RBI’s.
Maggie Olaveson and Andi Evers both had multiple hits in the game.
Emilee Underwood picked up the win going seven innings, surrendering 5 hits, 2 earned runs and striking out 5, running her record to 5-0 on the season
Game 2
In game 2, Chelsea’s bats were booming recording 15 hits in the game.
Megan McCalla, Mya Purdy and Andi Evers led the team at the plate. McCalla went 3 for 4 with 5 RBI’s and hit her first home run of the season. Purdy went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI’s and she also hit a home run, her 4th of the year. Evers went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s.
Bekah Zachrich and Emilee Underwood also had multiple hits in the game.
Megan McCalla recorded the win going 5 innings surrendering 3 hits, 1 earned run while striking out 3 to earning her 3rd win of the season.
The team is now 9-0 on the season.
