Chelsea State Bank was recently awarded the 2018 Company of the Year for their continuous support and dedication to bringing Ele’s Place to Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County.

“As the local community bank, we firmly believe that healthy communities start with healthy families and businesses,” said Chelsea State Bank Chief Executive Officer John Mann.

“When members of a family are grieving, it’s important that we can step in and support them. Ele’s Place gives us that opportunity. We are proud to accept this award, but more honored to help bring Ele’s Place to our community to help grieving children, teens and their families,” he said.

The mission of Ele’s Place is specifically to provide bereavement and grief support to children and teens. Any child or teen who has experienced the death of someone close to them are served. Ele’s Place provides support to the parent and primary guardian of enrolled children and teens as well.

“Since Ele’s Place came to Ann Arbor John Mann and Chelsea State Bank have been tireless supporters,” said Director of Ele’s Place – Ann Arbor Monica Brancheau.  “Their fervent dedication to Ele’s Place is what has allowed us to have a successful Home for Healing Hearts Campaign. We are grateful and honored that both John Mann and Chelsea State Bank are incredibly generous to our mission.”
