Chelsea State Bank warns customers about banking scams

Chelsea State Bank recently sent this warning to customers:

“We are currently experiencing a rise in mobile banking scams.  Scammers are requesting log-in information in order to deposit fraudulent checks, and then requesting refunds in the form of gift cards.  Legitimate companies will not request your online banking log-in credentials, nor will they require gift cards as payment.  Please do not give any user names or passwords to anyone, and do not purchase gift cards to make business transactions. “

If you have any questions, or think you may be the victim of fraud, please call 734-475-1355.
