Superintendent of Schools Julie Helber sent the following letter to Chelsea School District families on Monday:
Dear Chelsea Families:
It is with a heavy heart that I communicate with you today about the sudden passing of Chelsea teacher, Jane Straith-Rose. Jane has served the Chelsea School District for many years and she will deeply missed.
Our counseling and support staff are here for our students. If you have concerns about your child, please contact our building offices. Thank you for keeping Jane’s family in your thoughts as they navigate this difficult time.
Funeral arrangement information will be sent as soon as it is available.

Below are the funeral arrangements.
The family is holding a viewing on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Nie Funeral Home off of Liberty in Ann Arbor. The service will be at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ in downtown Ann Arbor at Noon on Friday.
