(Publisher’s note: Please continue to send me your stories of random acts of kindness — whether you are on the giving or the receiving end. You can email them to lallmendinger@sbcglobal.net.)
I was waiting to be picked up and driven home. The van was more than an hour late because of getting stuck behind an accident.
I had chosen to sit outside.
I turned my rollator-type walker around and sat on the seat. The sunshine was delightful, a pleasant breeze kept me from getting too hot, and I was enjoying it very much.
Where I was sitting, people passed me going in and out of the building I was in front of. I was delighted that several people stopped to ask if I was okay, did I need any help?
I didn’t think to count until too late, but I’m sure there were around twenty.
Even though I didn’t need anything, I was grateful for the many acts of kindness.
