Some Chelsea businesses are beginning to open with certain caveats, and Bumble’s Dry Goods, located at 120 S. Main St., is one of them.

Owner Carol McNagny is asking anyone interested in shopping at the store to call ahead and make an appointment. The telephone number is (734) 433-9703.

Online shopping and curbside pickup from Bumble’s Dry Goods is also an option.

“Bumble’s will be slowly expanding our hours until we return to normal business hours,” said McNagy, who says current hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

“We are selling the flour sack towels, Michigan Puzzles, MoonSpoon tea strainers, honey sticks, and other items.”

Ten people can be in the store at one time, and there are plexiglas barriers in use. You can also see the store’s selection on its website at www.bumblesdrygoods.com. You can shop online, give your credit card information over the phone, and pick up your purchases.

McNagy says her business is one of many Chelsea businesses ready to see people again.

“One of the reasons we are in business to begin with is that we enjoy talking to people and trying to have things in our stores people enjoy and that are useful,” said McNagy. “When people feel safe again, if they remember their local businesses and make an extra effort to come see us, I think we will be fine.”
