Fr. Enzo Addari, SdC., and CEO of St. Louis Center recently announced the hiring of Christina Ferris as the new development director of St. Louis Center.

Ferris began work on June 3, and will be responsible for operational fundraising, submission of grants, and seeking funds for Phase II of the St. Louis Guanella Village project taking shape on the western edge of the SLC property in Sylvan Township.

When considering what drew her to St. Louis Center, Ferris’ response was very personal. “When I was growing up, I had a brother who had Down syndrome. He would have been 70 if he was still alive today, and he dreamed of living in a great place like St. Louis Center. That’s why this cause is so close to my heart.”

St. Louis Center is a residential care facility for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Ferris’ was most recently the Development Director of the Crim Fitness Foundation in Flint during the past four years, and previously gained development experience working for Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor.

She has a degree from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, and grew up in Ft. Wayne, Ind. She loves biking, kayaking and cooking, and currently resides in Whitmore Lake.
