Christmas and gingerbread houses: a perfect combination

Chelsea community families have two opportunities to decorate a gingerbread house as part of the Hometown Holiday fun.

There are only 100 houses available, so call the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce at 475-1145 to reserve your house today.

The Gingerbread House Workshop takes place on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m.-noon and noon- 1p.m. at the Chelsea First United Methodist Church, 128 Park St.

Each family can decorate one gingerbread house for Christmas for free.

Or, you can try making a gingerbread house at home that will be displayed at a Chelsea.

Here’s the recipe and the finished product should be dropped off at the First Congregational Church on Thursday, Dec. 5 between 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and it will be displayed in an area store.

The church is located at 121 East Middle St.
