CHS girl’s track and field remains undefeated

ChelseaBulldogsLogoGoldTrimThe Chelsea High School Girl’s Track and Field Team defeated SEC foe Lincoln on Tuesday, April 23, 81-56.

Lincoln is the returning SEC champion, and it was a season goal to defeat them, said Head Coach Shane Rodriguez.

The win brings the girls’ dual meet record on the season to 3-0 and also puts us in the driver’s seat to win the conference championship.

It also extended the team’s dual meet win streak to 27-0 over six seasons.

Although it was rainy and windy, there were some nice individual performances, the coach said.

Among the highlights were:

  • Talia Dyerly won the pole vault with a lifetime best of 8′ 6″.
  • Grace Sauers and Megan Lowe were awesome in the long jump.
  • Maria Osentoski matched her best in the high jump.
  • The deep sprinter core continues to put up big points and did well again in this meet.

The team host’s Tecumseh on Tuesday, April 30.
