Community Public Safety Task Force Presents Draft Report to City Council

(Publisher’s note: This is another story from the May 16 Chelsea City Council meeting.)

Two members of the 14-member Community Public Safety Task Force gave a presentation and provided a draft report to the Chelsea City Council on May 16 with its recommendations following the findings of the Bobcat Police Operational Audit of September 2021.

The group was appointed in Feb. 2022 and was asked to provide its final recommendations to the City Council in early June. Among the tasks was to research and make recommendations for what a strategic planning process would look like in the city and what the next steps for a long-term committee might be.

That draft report can be found at the bottom of this story. (You can also listen to the presentation from the meeting here.)

The task force will meet again on Wednesday, May 25 to put together a final report, which is expected to be presented to the City Council in early June.
