Connell Alford breaks own record; Trilian Krug wins her race at Chelsea X-C Invite

The Beach Middle School boys cross country team finished second with 18 points out of seven teams at the Chelsea Invitational held at Hudson-Mills Metropark on Saturday.

Hillside won with 12 points.

Connell Alford won the meet and broke his previous school record with a time of 10:56.9 for a 2-mile race.

Other notable performances were made Evan Muchler who placed 15th out 76 runners with a time of 12:50 (a personal record). Also, Rowan Anderson ran a full minute-plus faster than his previous best time.

The Beach girls cross country team won its race with 14 points beating six other teams.

Trilian Krug led the team by winning the race with a new personal record of 12:37.7 (third fastest in school history).

Other notable performances were made by Lauren Thompson who medaled and improved her previous best time by 20 plus seconds. Also, Bella Hagen improved her season best time by 50 seconds.
